Mayford Transforms a Shade Garden
This re-purposed garden draws on ideas from the nostalgic but charming, cottage style planting which emphasizes an abundant combination of flowers, herbs and vegetables. This relaxed natural style of planting can be personalised to include vibrant colours to form a frenzied but harmonious mix. Edibe flowers, herbs and vegetables make this style of gardening practical as well as beautiful, bringing to life the “From Farm to Fork” concept.
The strong structural lines framing the borders influence the placement of the Mayford SHADE-OVER LAWN area which makes the garden both functional and attractive. A free-standing gazebo above the walled patio is enhanced by the raised wall planting in the window boxes, establishing appealing level changes in the planting. The clipped lollipop shrubs enhance the space by adding structure to the patio.
